35 Loudoun-based businesses being named to Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America list is one of the many gifts of Loudoun this holiday season. The Inc. 5000 is a well-known list of the fastest-growing, privately held companies in the United States. Originally introduced as the Inc. 500 in 1982, this prestigious list has given national exposure to entrepreneurial successes such Pandora, 7 Eleven, Zappos, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known corporate powerhouses and international brands. The 2022 Inc. 5000 list featured over 250 Virginia companies, 35 of which are Loudoun-based businesses. This marks the largest number of Loudoun businesses on the annual list to date and included 19 first-time recipients of the recognition.

The companies highlighted on the list are ranked by overall revenue growth over a three-year period and all 5,000 are individually profiled on Inc.com. Of the 5,000, the top 500 were featured in the September issue of Inc. Magazine, the leading entrepreneurial advocate for 38 years running. Ashburn-based RP Professional Services was the fastest growing of the Loudoun business, ranking 74th with an annual percentage growth of 5,300%. Ignite IT, another Ashburn business, was ranked at 298 with an annual percentage growth of 1,906%. Both companies were also recognized on the Inc. 500 list in September.
