#DataCentersSleeveUp!
The Data Center Coalition, Loudoun Economic Development, and the American Red Cross joined forces in March 2022 to launch #DataCentersSleeveUp, a campaign to raise awareness of the need for blood supply and encourage pledges and donations of the same. The three-week campaign kicked off on March 1 and ran through March 23, which was both International Data Center Day and Red Cross Giving Day and provided the data center community an opportunity to help address this national blood shortage, which the American Red Cross labeled, “the worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care.” This joint effort opened the door for area data centers to help contribute to the health and welfare of local citizens and surrounding communities.
There is still a need for blood donations. To check out the partners that participated in the #DataCenterSleevesUp campaign and to find out what you can do to help, visit American Red Cross | SleevesUp.
