Launch Loudoun Introduces Morning Momentum for Loudoun Entrepreneurs
Twice-monthly program will combine collaborative business feedback with practical workshops
Launch Loudoun, a program of the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development, introduced Morning Momentum, a free, twice-monthly gathering created to help Loudoun entrepreneurs solve challenges, develop practical skills, and build meaningful business connections. Launched on September 23 at Venture X at One Loudoun, Morning Momentum is open to Loudoun County small-business owners and entrepreneurs at every stage of business development.
“Entrepreneurs rarely build successful businesses alone,” said Buddy Rizer, executive director of Loudoun Economic Development. “They need people who will listen, ask thoughtful questions, share experience, and help them see the next opportunity. Morning Momentum brings that kind of community together twice each month and give Loudoun businesses another way to turn good ideas into meaningful progress.”
Morning Momentum expands and rebrands an existing Launch Loudoun program with two complementary meeting formats.
Business Feedback sessions, held on the second Wednesday of each month, give selected entrepreneurs an opportunity to introduce their businesses and present a specific question, challenge, or opportunity. Attendees will contribute constructive feedback, relevant experience, and potential connections.
Workshops, held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, provide interactive instruction focused on the practical issues entrepreneurs encounter while starting and growing their businesses.
The updated program also removes the previous restriction on businesses operating for more than five years. Entrepreneurs from both new and established Loudoun businesses may apply to present.
“A business does not stop encountering challenges after its fifth year,” said Alberto Fernandez, Loudoun Economic Development’s small and minority-owned business development manager. “Opening Morning Momentum to businesses of every age will bring a wider range of knowledge and experience into the room. That makes the conversation more useful for the featured entrepreneur and more valuable for everyone participating.”
Launch Loudoun has also simplified the presenter application and developed a new presentation template that helps entrepreneurs clearly communicate their business models, identify their immediate challenges, and explain what they need from the audience.
“Morning Momentum is designed to be more than another networking event,” Fernandez said. “We want people to arrive ready to participate and leave with a useful idea, a meaningful connection, or a clear next step for their business.”
Morning Momentum is held at Venture X at One Loudoun on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Participation is free and open to Loudoun County small-business owners and entrepreneurs.
