Loudoun County Seeks Strategic Thinkers for Economic Development Advisory Commission. Applications Due by July 18

Loudoun County, VA – Do you have bold ideas for shaping Loudoun’s economic future? Now’s your chance to put them into action.

Loudoun County is accepting applications for membership on the Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC). Business leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, and subject matter experts are encouraged to apply by Friday, July 18, 2025, to help guide one of the most dynamic economies in the nation.

EDAC members serve as strategic advisors to the Board of Supervisors and the Department of Economic Development, offering insight into policy, emerging trends, and opportunities to sustain Loudoun’s competitive edge. The group brings together leaders from diverse sectors—technology, real estate, aerospace defense, real estate, life sciences, banking, highly specialized manufacturing, and more—to shape initiatives that drive innovation and investment.

“This is not a ceremonial board—it’s a think tank with real influence,” said Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun Economic Development. “We’re looking for collaborators who bring energy, insight, and vision to the table.”

Members are appointed to three-year terms and are expected to attend monthly meetings, contribute to task forces, and provide feedback on high-priority initiatives affecting Loudoun’s economy.

Apply online at https://onboard.loudoun.gov/apply. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on July 18, 2025.
