Workforce Wednesday: Jay Sochrin, Capitol Power Group

Brian Tinsman
Digital Properties Manager

Meet Jay Sochrin, director of government sales for Capitol Power Group, an infrastructure solutions firm in Ashburn’s One Loudoun. After a three-plus decade career in the federal intelligence community, Sochrin is a tremendous asset to his new company.

Capitol Power Group chose to locate in Loudoun County in order to have access to the world’s largest and fastest-growing data center hub. With an office less than 30 miles from Washington, D.C., they also have easy access to the world’s largest customer: the U.S. federal government.

That’s where Jay comes in. Capitol Power specializes in mission-critical electrical, mechanical and operations solutions, making Sochrin’s experience an ideal match. In fact, Sochrin sought out a position with Capitol Power Group specifically because he was passionate about their mission.

How passionate? On days when he works in the office, Sochrin drives several hours from his home in Pennsylvania.

Sochrin is the type of dedicated employee that makes the Loudoun workforce so stellar. On Workforce Wednesdays, we highlight an employee from a Loudoun business to show other companies the enviable talent pool they can draw from if they decide to open up shop here.
