ADA Awareness Day

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is landmark legislation that advances equal opportunity, participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for the 61 million Americans with disabilities. By eliminating discrimination and promoting inclusivity, the ADA ensures equal access to public accommodations, healthcare, social services, transportation, and telecommunications. Today, we celebrate the progress made and renew our commitment to fostering a barrier-free, accessible community for all. To support this mission, Loudoun County has an ADA Self-Assessment Study and Transition Plan underway, to address identified areas for improvement and create an actionable, trackable method for addressing those barriers.
