Loudoun Farm Tour

Fall: Annually, Third Weekend in October; Spring: Annually, Third Weekend in May from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Farmers will complete an application by a specified date each season. Click here to be alerted when the application periods are open. Visitors can sign up here to get info on our ag events.

Promote Loudoun County’s farms by sponsoring a weekend tourism event, increase awareness and educate the public about farming in Loudoun, and inform consumers about what products are available at local farms for each season.

Loudoun Farm Tour began in 1993 as the Loudoun Fall Colors Tour.

Farms are not charged a participation fee. The Loudoun Farm Tour is free to participate in for consumers and you don’t need tickets! There are fees at some sites for food, drinks and special activities.

Any farm in Loudoun County that would like the opportunity to showcase their products and practices to consumers from throughout the region. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn about where their food and fiber comes from.

Yes, and staff at these public events might take photos of you for promotional use. Share your photos on social media, using the hashtag #LoudounFarmTour.

The logo is used by Loudoun growers and producers that agree to source their products from Loudoun County farms. Look for the logo and support those businesses by taking your piece of Loudoun home. In addition to buying the best-quality products, you also support the future of farming in Loudoun. Learn more.

A few examples are:
• A short guided educational tour with information about your animals, crops, land stewardship, business of farming, etc.
• Demonstrations (uses of herbs, animal shearing or other animal care).
• Informational poster(s) about your farm, products, or methods.
• Activities: farm-related scavenger hunts, seedling or seed plantings, etc.
• A short presentation for your visitors – about what you do, why you choose to do it and why it’s important.
