Inc. Magazine’s 2015 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. features 26 Loudoun County, Virginia companies.
This is an 18 percent increase over the number of Loudoun companies that made the list last year, and is an 85 percent increase over Inc.’s 2013 list. Loudoun Economic Development Director Buddy Rizer sees it as another sign of the growing strength of Loudoun’s economy.
“All our metrics are pointing up,” Rizer said. “In the fiscal year that just ended on June 30, 2015, Loudoun earned more than $1.3 billion in business investment – that’s a 459 percent increase over the previous year.”
The companies on this year’s Inc. list are also experiencing massive growth. Xgility – Loudoun’s top-placing business at position #144 out of 5,000 – grew more than 2,700 percent over three years. Bell Info Solutions grew more than 1,400 percent.
“We have worked hard to create an atmosphere conducive to growth for businesses here in Loudoun County, and it is gratifying to see that paying off with so many companies experiencing high growth,” said Matt Letourneau, chairman of the Board of Supervisors Economic Development Committee. “Congratulations in particular to the 12 companies appearing for the first time on the list – we hope their success continues.”
