Loudoun Economic Development is cosponsoring NAIOP’s 2014 Outside-the-Beltway tour for commercial real estate professionals. The event takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. The tour includes portions of Loudoun and Fairfax counties, including the submarkets of Tysons Corner, Reston, Route 28 and the area near the intersection of routes 50 and 66.

The tour kicks off at One Loudoun with a trade show, breakfast and remarks by NAIOP, One Loudoun and county officials. Ten buses will then carry more than 400 builders, developers and brokers around Northern Virginia’s busiest business corridor.

“This bus tour is primarily along the path of what will become the last 10 stops on the Silver Line metro rail route,” explained Loudoun Economic Development Director Buddy Rizer. “This route is the economic engine of the state of Virginia, and will become even more so as the Loudoun rail stations come online in 2018.”

Bus tour participants will receive an overview of Loudoun projects such as One Loudoun, Loudoun Station, Dulles World Center, Belmont Executive Plaza, Lakeview at University Center, Atlantic Corporate Park, Merritt University Center and Ashbrook Place. These developments showcase a wide variety of product type, including Class-A office, flex, industrial and retail.

Loudoun Board of Supervisors Chairman Scott York said, “The bus tour is an opportunity to show site selectors and potential clients that Loudoun not only has an existing product inventory to meet their needs, but we also have greenfield opportunities along the Silver Line metro rail route – that’s something no other Northern Virginia jurisdiction has.”

Loudoun’s available land and building databases are searchable online at biz.loudoun.gov.
