Whether you offer camel rides or kombucha, orchids or organic vegetables, you can grow your customer base by participating in the Spring Farm Tour. Each year, Loudoun Economic Development promotes Loudoun’s rural economy through printed brochures, ads and web content that encourage the public to visit Loudoun farms the third weekend in May. To get your farm, winery or other rural business listed on this Spring’s Farm Tour, fill out the application online by March 16: biz.loudoun.gov/farmtourapp.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase our thriving rural economy and give hands-on opportunities for the community to see the great things that are going on in Western Loudoun,” said Loudoun Economic Development Executive Director Buddy Rizer.

In past years, participating farmers have invited children to ride their ponies, pet water buffalo calves, hold baby chicks, touch alpacas, gather eggs, pick strawberries, and enjoy delicious farm-fresh food.

Agricultural Development Officer Kellie Hinkle said, “For adults, members of our craft beverage industry have offered tastings of wine, beer, mead and other products, most of them made with ingredients grown right on Loudoun farms. We encourage all farm-related businesses to participate in the Spring Farm Tour.”

This year’s tour will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22.
