* Observe horses, alpacas, cattle, donkeys and sheep in their natural environments;
* Take a hayride, tour a winery or visit a nursery;
* Pick your own apples or pumpkins;
* Meet farm owners and learn about their specialty products;
* Enjoy a picnic while taking in scenic views.

New to the Fall Color Tour is Brossman’s Farm, located in Lucketts, VA. This 25-acre, family-run farm grows a variety of fruit trees, Christmas trees, vegetables and strawberry plants. Visitors can pick their own pumpkins or tour Brossman’s orchard and 8,000 newly planted strawberries.

Also new to the Fall Color Tour is 868 Estate Vineyards. Located in Purcellville, VA, this newly established vineyard pours a variety of wines, including pinot grigio, rose, chardonnay and merlot. 868 Estate Vineyards also offers gourmet food from Grandale Restaurant, which is located on the property.

“With 49 total venues participating this year, we’re anticipating approximately 8,000 visitors during the Fall Color Tour weekend,” said Loudoun County Department of Economic Development’s Agricultural Development Officer Kellie Boles.

“We invite everyone, not just Loudoun County residents, out to experience our vibrant equestrian farms and family businesses,” she added.

Fall is a beautiful time of year in the Loudoun valleys, with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge, Short Hill and Sugarloaf Mountains. Brochures for the Fall Color Tour, which include a map to all participating farms, will be available at Loudoun County libraries and community centers, and at Visit Loudoun in Leesburg.
