Major Employers to Offer Jobs at “Hire Loudoun”

“We’re putting a new spin on the ‘job fair.’ The goal of this event is to bring Loudoun’s workforce home,” said Loudoun Economic Development’s Executive Director Buddy Rizer.

Rizer’s department is co-sponsoring “Hire Loudoun,” which will be held on Tuesday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling. Job-seekers can register to participate in this free event at LoudounChamber.org/HireLoudoun.

“We have some of the most educated and accomplished residents in the nation, and we’d like to keep our talented labor pool working here in Loudoun,” Rizer said.

Many of Loudoun’s major employers will be on hand at “Hire Loudoun” to talk with applicants about positions that require tech-related college degrees or I.T. experience. A partial list of participating businesses includes:

College students, veterans and mid-career professionals are all encouraged to attend.

“Loudoun has the third-fastest job growth of any county in America, and we want this event to contribute to that trend,” Rizer said.

“Hire Loudoun” is being co-organized by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Loudoun Workforce Resource Center, the Town of Leesburg’s Department of Economic Development, and Northern Virginia Community College – Sterling.
