Mimi Wall is a Business Development Manager with over 8 years of experience in economic development in both the public and private spheres, as well as aviation management. Currently, she supports the expansion or relocation of international companies in Loudoun County, VA, where she’s responsible for fostering business partnerships, securing investments, and expanding the county’s economic footprint with a specific eye on companies based in Asia.

Mimi grew up in a small university town in South Carolina with a strong international community that gave her an early connection to Asia, particularly South Korea. She developed a genuine appreciation and understanding for Asian cultures and global business dynamics from an early age.

Mimi holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and German Language and Literature from the University of Alabama, and had the opportunity spend a summer abroad while completing undergraduate coursework. Mimi also holds a Master of Science in Geography from the University of Tennessee, focusing on the placemaking aspect of economic development, where her research also took her abroad.

Placemaking has been foundational to Mimi’s economic development career and approach to business development, which centers relationship building to community identity and long-term economic vitality.

In her free time, Mimi enjoys cooking and traveling. You can also find her cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Volunteers, and all Washington DC sports. Mimi and her husband live in Northern Virginia.
